Ceridian has been working behind the scene with some of the industry's leading providers to minimize the administrative burden that complying with PRPP legislation will create for your employer. If one of the providers listed below is chosen, your payroll deductions will automatically be sent with every pay.

In addition to getting ready for PRPP and VRSP, Ceridian has been actively working with a number of providers to reduce the administrative burden on our clients for all retirement plan types.

If you already offer your employees a Group Retirement Plan and would like Ceridian to remit the contributions on your behalf please refer to the charts below. The first chart details what levels of integration are possible. The second chart lists all providers, the integration available, their supported plans, and which Ceridian payroll solutions support the integration.

Depending on your provider, there may be additional fees applied to payroll in order to cover the cost of the integration and the third party payment. Please check with your service representative to review costs for your situation. To get automatic remittance set up, contact your Group Retirement provider directly and they will submit the appropriate information to Ceridian for proper set-up of the contributions.

Levels of Integration

Level 1
  • All contributions are automatically remitted to the provider.
  • A detailed contribution report is also submitted to the provider with every pay.
Level 2
  • Includes Level 1 plus:
  • Initial and new hire employee information is transmitted to the employer in a preformatted file for upload to the provider.
  • Employee contribution instructions are received by Ceridian directly from the provider and uploaded into payroll
  • Employee termination data is transmitted to the provider.
Level 3
  • Includes Level 1 plus:
  • Initial and new hire employee information is transmitted directly to the provider.
  • Employee contribution instructions are received by Ceridian directly from the provider and uploaded into payroll
  • Employee termination data is transmitted to the provider.
  • All ongoing address changes and other relevant employee profile changes are transmitted to the provider.
